SaudiVax and NIBRT celebrating the conclusion of  Biomanufacturing Training for the very first five talented Saudi female scientists

On December 08th, 2020, SaudiVax Ltd. and the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) celebrated the conclusion of the specially tailored biomanufacturing training course for the very first five talented Saudi female scientists. The aforementioned course was attended and successfully completed from 10th February -18th March 2020 in-person and from 14th September – 08th December 2020 on-line.

NIBRT is a global center of excellence for training and research in bioprocessing located in a world class facility in Dublin, Ireland. This facility is purpose built to closely replicate a modern bioprocessing plant with state of the art equipment. The training course included both theory sessions and hands-on practical sessions and virtual lessons in the NIBRT Bioprocessing suite. NIBRT specialises in designing, developing and delivering customised training programmes to meet the requirements of industrial clients.

The executed course by NIBRT was designed and customised to meet SaudiVax’s needs to support the localization of vaccines and biologics industry in the Kingdom. The training course covered GMP regulations in biopharmaceutical production, facility design concepts, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, bioanalytics, quality control, aseptic processing, and fill and finish technologies.
